MODERN
Bare Feet.

HAIR MUST BE UP AND BACK OFF THE FACE IN A BUN IF POSSIBLE

Girls Grade 2 and 3

Girls

Grade 4+ The addition of Pointe shoes once your teachers have assessed the pupil and allowed. This is at the teachers discretion only!

MODERN

Black footless tights to be worn over the leotard. Black shorts may be worn in summer months.
Tan Jazz shoes/footsies may be worn for Contemporary and lyrical however from grade 5 Modern only.
Black knee pads for contemporary

TAP
Black tap shoes. black leggings/Tap trousers/dance tights. Black tap trousers must be worn for Exams.

Non-Syllabus & Acrobatics Uniform Requirements

For all non-syllabus classes, a dedicated non-syllabus uniform is available (should you wish, if not syllabi uniform may also be worn). You can purchase these items directly from the Dainty Dance website by requesting the East Sussex Dance Studios exclusive uniform, or you can buy them directly from our studios.

The approved uniform consists of:

Crop tops and shorts designed in the official school colours.
A standard dance leotard worn with tights over the top.

Please note that no other clothing items are permitted in these sessions. Aside from the two-piece sets or standard leotards with tights, alternative dancewear will not be accepted.
